However, the sheer success of the product has kept the bankers happy and therefore Porsche has decided to extend its portfolio with a smaller Cayenne! It called the Macan and the compact SUV is still under development. The test mules that have been spotted though show an Audi Q5-sized SUV that looks much similar in design to the Cayenne. The Macan is expected to make its production ready appearance by mid-2013 and that is when we’ll get all the information on the oily bits. We expect Audi-derived engines to make their way into the compact SUV with a hint of Porsche tuning to it. With India’s affinity for SUVs, we are sure Porsche India will have plans for the Macan too – expect the vehicle to make its Indian appearance at the 2014 Auto Expo in New Delhi then!
