MS Dhoni has been in the firing line, especially after losing the Test series to England at home but he reacted by ignoring all the criticism.
The Indian captain shut all his critics up with a sensational double hundred against Australia in the opening Test in Chennai. His 224 ensured India ended up with a 192-run lead, which buried the Aussies as they collapsed to an eight-wicket defeat.
"What really matters is the job I'm trying to do. The best thing I've done so far is to not watch the news or read the newspapers, so that has really helped, frankly," Dhoni said at the post-match press conference.
"It's not that I do not read newspapers, it's just that the third page from the back is always the sports page, so you try to get rid of that. Otherwise you don't get to know what's happening in India," said Dhoni.
Despite all the criticism, Dhoni held firm and did not change his methods in the middle, including his batting style.
"Nothing has changed. Whatever is your specialty remains your specialty," he said.
