It's a rare thing in Tollywood to discuss about budget of a film, once the movie declared a blockbuster. But youth hero Prabhas has shattered those stereotypes. He opened up about the budget of his latest release and also modestly admitted his mistakes during the shooting of the film.
Prabhas latest outing 'Mirchi' which released on Feb 8 opened to rave reviews and is faring well at the ticket-window. The movie was made with a whopping budget of Rs 30 crore unlike planned earlier. This was confirmed by Prabhas himself and he considered him as responsible for it confessing it was his mistake.
The lanky and hunk hero Prabhas admitted, "The cost of production of the film has gone overboard for which I'm the responsible but not director Koratala Siva. I'm the one who asked producers and director to spend more money in order to bring grandiosity to the film. Later at one point, I myself requested them to control budget which was gently turned down by them (producers). At the end, we're delighted with the result of the film." He added, "I should congratulate the producers who are my friends and who had spent money like water for the film. They certainly took a Herculean risk. I hope they'll make more films like this."
Many are pointing that Prabhas has certainly come forward than other heroes and hailing him as Producers hero! Else, which hero would talk about budget after release of the film and bagging blockbuster talk?
